The garden is a great metaphor for life. With all its care and intention, there will always be a portion of the outcome that is beyond our control.
Sometimes, growing a vision feels a lot like planting seeds. You nurture them, but still, even the best seeds do not come with guarantees. With faith, you keep showing up. With hope, you trust that something strong will break through the soil and eventually bloom.

And while there were moments when we were not sure what would grow - or if anything would grow - we are overjoyed to continue to share that something beautiful is, in fact, taking root.
Just a few months ago, we were uncertain about the future of Black Girls With Green Thumbs. Today, after a recent grant award announcement from the William Penn Foundation, we are blooming with confidence!
